KUNDALINI YOGA + ASTROLOGY
This is an in-person event taking place at Altered State of Mind, 2681 S Kinnickinnic Ave (Bayview, Milwaukee). We will utilize breath techniques, kundalini yoga, deep relaxation + reiki, and kundalini meditations to celebrate the New Moon in Gemini. No previous yoga experience required.
Kundalini Yoga is best understood by experiencing it.

BEFORE WE GATHER
Bring any items that will support you in feeling cozy: pillows, blankets, mats, shawls, mug for tea (we’ll have paper cups too, but if you like a mug - bring one) etc. Come early if you need a minute to set the mood for reflection and celebration. Have all your magic nearby - journals, crystals, tarot cards.

Elizabeth Bogart first experienced Kundalini Yoga when living in India and it was unlike any yoga she’d previously experienced. In college, yoga was fast-paced in a jammed packed room with dozens of sweaty students trying to rinse out their hangovers. As a high school English teacher, Elizabeth was drawn to the safety and comfort of attending the same yoga class with the same teacher, teaching the same sequence, making the same jokes. This consistency was regulating and quieted her busy worried mind. But Kundalini Yoga was all together different. It was the first time she felt like she had put herself through the washing machine - like brushing her teeth but for her brain, she felt sparkly, clean, new, and oddly more herself. She has studied Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Prenatal Yoga, but Kundalini Yoga remains her favorite to teach and take. She has taught classes and assisted in teacher trainings all around the world. The English teacher in her likes to organize content into thematic units and she often picks specific kriyas aligned to the astrological weather of the moment.
Elizabeth offers in-person Reiki Sessions and Mini Astrology Readings at ASOM on a weekly basis.
