Full Moon Celebration: Chant with the Plants

  • 2825 West Chicago Avenue Chicago, IL, 60622 United States (map)

Have you ever heard the expression "Once in a Blue Moon"?

This phrase refers to the appearance of a second full moon within a calendar month, which actually happens about every thirty-two months. Join us for the second Full Moon in October - on HALLOWEEN!

Our words are wands! Come learn about the potent power of language and mantra and their role in shaping our lives. We will be doing a short Kundalini Kriya set and an extended Meditation. Bring your all your magic - journals, crystals, etc and be ready to cozy up next to a fire pit after class.

Thank you Patchwork Farms for offering up your beautiful space! Join us as Elizabeth as she leads you through an extended Kundalini Meditation. We'll meet under the Cottonwood Tree. After class, make sure to check out Patchwork Farm Stand for fresh veggies.

Sliding Scale: $15 / $20 / $25

Reach out to Elizabeth at eb.heartwork@gmail.com if you'd like to attend but this price point isn't accessible. No one will be turned away. Come sing to the plants!

What are Kundalini Yoga?

Kundalini Yoga is known as the "Yoga of Experience." In each class we move through a set of movement and meditation. The movement is called a “kriya” and works like a recipe that has a specific effect on the body - physically and energetically. The system of pressure and release supports the nervous system to reset and regulate and the glandular system to balance. To Elizabeth, each class feels like brushing your teeth but for your brain. This practice is understood best by experiencing it. Come try it out!

What to Expect:

  • Warm Welcome & Tune In

  • Short Warms Up

  • Kundalini Meditation

  • Juicy Relaxation

  • Journaling & Closing

What to Bring:

  • Dress for the Weather

  • Mat, Blankets, and Cushions

  • Any other items that will make meditation and relaxation cozy.

  • Journal, Paper, & Pen (Optional)

Safety First:

Please space yourselves at least 6 feet away so participants can practice breath work without masks on. If you'd prefer to keep your mask on throughout the practice that's fine as well. If you're practicing as a family, you're more than welcome to cluster together.

Sliding Scale: $15 / $20 / $25

Chicago Patchwork Farms is a vegetable farm dedicated to transforming contaminated city land into bio-diverse community space while improving accessibility of healthy food to our neighbors. We remediate vacant land on Chicago’s south and west sides; neighborhoods that are economically deprived and environmentally distressed, providing space in the community for outdoor gatherings, native pollinator habitat, and food crops. Throughout the growing season the farm is a place to gather; we host a variety of cultural events such as theater, music performance, dance, and storytelling. We’re dedicated to growing healing, medicinal food and vibrant community. Check out their events at chicagopatchworkfarms.com
