REIKI LEVEL ONE CERTIFICATION
Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that uses gentle touch to help balance and increase energy levels, and promote relaxation and well-being. Reiki energy has its own consciousness and moves intuitively to realign the recipients’ energy (kind of like energetically unkinking a hose). The Reiki Practitioner is a witness and a facilitator, but it’s the recipient’s own energy that is realigning itself. A Reiki attunement opens all chakras (especially chakras in the crown, the heart, and the palms) creating a link between a student and the infinite source of energy.
Reiki Level 1 allows you to give reiki to yourself and practice on friends & family in-person. This course includes: the history of Reiki, a Chakra Balancing Meditation, Level 1 Reiki Attunement, Traditional Japanese Reiki Techniques, Self Practice Time, and Partner Practice Time. No prerequisite is required to participate in Level One.
Date: Sunday, January 19th
Time: 10-6pm
Location: Tosa PT & Wellness, 9126 W North Ave
Cost: $199 (includes Usui Reiki Manual)
MORE ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
This is a full-day, pack-a-lunch, turn-off-the-phone, arrange-a-sitter kind of experience. There will be amble breaks built into the day to support participants to integrate the experience and the content. Here’s a tentative/example schedule.
SCHEDULE (At A Glance) - 10-6pm
Welcome + Introductions
Brief History of Reiki & Hands-On Healing
Grounding Meditation + Reiki Level 1 Attunement
LUNCH BREAK (90-minutes)
The Pillars of Reiki + Group Practice Time
After Care + Certification Logistics
(Optional) Integration Meditation
Note: It’s really important to me to build in a long lunch. Folks can take a solo walk along Menomonee Parkway, chill in the Tosa PT space, and/or go with other students to Colectivo or Ms. Molly’s for a long lunch. Everyone feels differently after receiving a Reiki Attunement. Some folks want to connect with their peers and others need some solo time. There will be space for both experiences.
LOOKING AHEAD
If you’re interested in Level 2, there will be a training in the end of February. Here’s the distinction between Reiki Levels. While there are no set rules, most people wait at least a few months before participating in Level 2 to integrate and practice techniques in Level 1.
Reiki Level 1 is the first step that allows you to give reiki to yourself and practice on family & friends in-person.
Reiki Level 2 is the Practitioner Level that allows you to charge for services and send reiki over time and space through distance healing.
Reiki Level 3 is the Master Level that allows you to use Master Symbols and practice advanced techniques.
Reiki Level 4 is the final level called the Master Teacher Level that allows you to attune others all levels of reiki.
